Agenda
1. 1 - 2 p.m. : Agenda
Cheryl Lock from the Graduate School of Business is looking for UX feedback on a Canvas project they are working on. Sounds interesting!
"We are working on a new app that will operate within Canvas as an integrated tool (LTI). It will be used to ingest data from PeopleSoft/Copernicus (GSB's local copy of PS) via an API to a local database and then populate a Canvas course page. The app will allow the user to overwrite the imported data (not changing the source but just the local copy in the database). Data we will import includes course description, instructor, Faculty Assistant, grading scheme, attendance policy, TAs, course dates/times/location, etc. Canvas courses may contain multiple sections and faculty have the flexibility to combine/separate these sections ad hoc. We will use the Canvas API to identify which sections exist in the current course. Users will be allowed to make updates to the different fields for all sections or to just selected sections in the Canvas course site. How can we best present this to the end user so it is clear what content is being updated and where?"
