Both can review the videos: instructors can point out areas for improvement in in-person playback sessions and students can write reflections. We must maintain the privacy characteristics of this process, but the progressive download limits us to about 10 min per video. Ideally, this should be streaming. Video is captured in whatever classroom the course is scheduled.

Brief description of how video content fits your program's mission: These lectures happen twice a week and are part of the intensive summer ESL program. It is very important that they be posted as soon as possible after the completion of the lecture so that instructors can use them as teaching material (quizzes, summary assignments, discussions, etc). However, they should not be webcast – otherwise students would simply not show up. We have been capturing them using a MiniDV camera attached to a MacBook Pro, posting them to our Quicktime Streaming Server. These files were then sent to ITS streaming services at a later date. In addition to ITS shutting down streaming, the QTSS box is getting old and needs to be replaced or scrapped.
