Installing and using WordPress in Leland environment
1. Request database here: https://www.stanford.edu/services/sql/, from this page click Request Group, etc
https://tools.stanford.edu/sumysql
2. Download WordPress installation http://wordpress.org/download/
or if you are advanced user and are looking for particular version http://wordpress.org/download/release-archive/
3. Upload into cgi-bin directory and unzip (if you are windows user, unzip into folder wordpress and then upload into cgi-bin)
4. Click on the link http://www.stanford.edu/group/cgi-bin/wordpress and enter info about your database, make sure you enter host name. If you are advanced user, edit wp-config-sample.php file, save as wp-config.php and upload on the server
You can request proxy http://www.stanford.edu/service/vhost/ to look at main wordpress directory.
